What's happening at The Haydock School of Dance
Tomorrow is National Social Prescribing Day March 19th !
I will be at the Lancastrian Suite in Chorley Town Hall from 1 - 3pm, for the National Social Prescribing Event taking place there. I have a small stall showing the different classes I can offer to people looking for things to do or to help them. My 6 week S.U.M.M.E.R health and Wellbeing course on Friday's is going well so far. This is being supported by an Adult Health and Wellbeing Grant from Chorley Borough Council and The Social Prescribing Team there. See you tomorrow!

SINGING LESSONS
We now offer Adult singing lessons. These can be booked at a time suited to us both. They consist of a one to one lesson in correct vocal techniques, good breathing and song performance foundation lessons. Great if you have never sung before or sing in a choir and want to elevate your singing skills.
Another new class starting is our FunDance Fitness. This is a gentle, but continuous, class based on Aerobic conditioning. We will be learning short and simple dance routines to music and exercising through dance, a fun way to get moving.

This week is #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek and the theme is #MomentsForMovement
As a dancer living with eating difficulties and mental health challenges, I can appreciate that for some people to get out and get moving will lead to better mental health. However for me, when things get too much and thoughts become overwhelming the need to find stillness becomes the top priority.
So my choice for this mental health awareness week is to offer you the #threeminutebreathingspace by #jonkabatzinn
When things are overwhelming and your brain begins to swirl uncontrollably, carve yourself a space in the world to find peace and feel like you again.
